This Ellie Krieger recipe has just the right balance between spicy and sweet. My kids even enjoy them! They are packed with fiber and protein, and you really only need a handful to feel satisfied. :) Enjoy!
Recipe
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup almonds
1/3 cup pistachios
1/3 cup cashews
1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
1 TB maple syrup
1/8 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp rosemary
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup pistachios

1. Toss everything in a bowl to combine.
2. Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Spread mixture on oiled cookie sheet, and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Keep in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Who likes to change it up?
~Use your favorite nuts like walnuts, hazelnuts, etc. instead of what is listed
~Replace the cayenne with smoked paprika or chili powder.

This is so awesome, Kristina! I love me a good trail/snack mix. I probably will try the walnuts in there, too!
I've added cranberries to the mix and that is yummy too! :)
