Are there any mom's out there that are having a hard time enticing their kids to eat their veggies? One way to "sneak" it into their foods is by grating or pureeing them. Some great veggies to use are carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, and . Still give your kids veggies on the side, but now if you know they will refuse them, they will at least get the beneficial vitamins and minerals in their sauce. Don't you feel sneaky? :)
Easy Tomato Sauce Recipe

Use any leftover tomato sauce (about 4 cups) ( Here are a couple to try Tomato Sauce . This is the one I used Apricot Tomato Sauce)
1-2 carrots, grated or pureed
1/2 head broccoli, grated or pureed
1/2 bell pepper, grated or pureed
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2-1 tsp Italian seasoning (or a mixture of basil, oregano and thyme)
Parmesan cheese for sprinkling on top
your favorite pasta, cooked
1 TB maple syrup (optional)
1. Over a large saucepan, add tomato sauce, veggies and garlic. Cook for approximately 3-5 minutes until heated through. Add maple syrup at the end. Serve with pasta. Instant dinner!
